Compare the outcome
Check requester, subject, account, due date, and desired result before labeling records duplicates. Similar wording does not prove the work is the same.
Preserve history
When records are linked, retain original evidence and identify the primary owner. Never delete a request merely because another item appears related.
Escalate conflicts
If teams have made different promises, pause the merge and present the conflict to the manager. The coordinator organizes facts but does not choose which commitment wins.
